sport shoes are designed to look fast. within the details of their constructions, each material, shape, and color has been taken into deep consideration, resulting in an aesthetic that adds to the identity of the athlete. ‘so why not picture them like that as well?’ asked amsterdam-based creative agency reluct. working along side joost van brug to convey this concept, they have taken 24 iconic NIKE sneakers and transformed them into a photography series.

the compositions appear perpetual motion abstracts, where the footwear present remnants of their static structures. taken from above a black surface using a long exposure technique, a hint of the signature color palette is left behind that any NIKE collector will recognize.
