artist patrick fisher has developed a series of intricate depictions of natural settings to decorate the bodies of acoustic guitars. each artwork is formed from the existing instrument and fisher’s meticulous drawings composed with the use of a black felt-tip pen upon the light wood surface. often the artist will reference a photograph before beginning his guitar as canvas pieces. though a musician’s personalization of his/her instrument is a cherished tradition in the music world, often these pieces are often fast doodles or sketches. the comparison of the typical guitar decoration with that of fisher’s labor-intensive results allow for his works to exist as a fine artworks portraying astoundingly detailed and photorealistic visualizations using each guitar’s body as a fresh canvas upon which to formulate his creative pursuits.
