korean born, new york based artist kim sooja created ‘lotus zone of zero, 2008’, a site specific installation, currently housed at rotunda at galerie ravenstein, brussels. comprised of approximately 2000 lotus flower shaped lanterns the colorful installation is accompanied by sounds of gregorian, tibetan and islamic chants. utilizing space and time sooja’s installation is a call for peace, love and understanding amongst human beings.

it was first exhibited in a different configuration at the palais rameau, lille, 2003
