the embrace series by keunsoo uses dark-stained timber to represent the element of nature. the wood is formed into simple, solid shapes that create seats and a small table. the rounded plastic form which the wooden component is positioned on, aims to symbolize the artificial concept of the design. the materials come together, or ’embrace’ each other, to express the two different worlds accepting one another. the contrasts in color, shape and materials combine to establish a harmonious relationship between man and nature.
