introspective contour mirror by flynn talbot explores identity

london-based artist and designer flynn talbot explores personal identity in ‘contour mirror’, an experimental work created for the spatial illumination – 9 lights in 9 rooms exhibition at the D museum in seoul, south korea. the bespoke lighting element is illuminated via an abstracted finger print; a notion that hints at the piece’s introspective nature. a close look reveals ‘contour’s’ slow rotation, changing perception of the work and gazer simultaneously. ‘contour mirror’ aims to bridge the relationship between object and viewer, while encouraging self-reflection. spatial illumination – 9 lights in 9 rooms is open at the D museum in seoul until may 8^th, 2016.
