An immersive audio-visual experience in the heart of London, ANY DAY NOW brings together artists Andrés Reisinger and Sam Mason to envelop the facade of W1 Curates gallery with a hypnotic visual poem. Surreal moving imagery illustrated in pastel pink hues ponders the journey of life, inviting visitors inside the gallery to delve into an underground ‘portal towards divinity.’ The multisensorial exhibition explores the fertile space between the digital and the physical through a series of external digital screens and internal installations that encapsulate a metaphysical suspension counteracted by a strong, geometrical structure. Enriched with audio by RAC, these compositions unravel a space bound in time, ‘where gravity reigns and where any living elements, such as humans, are extracted.’

ANY DAY NOW reflects on the cyclical journey of life and questions the boundless possibilities of the future, imagining alternate, surreal experiences where the boundaries between reality and fantasy become blurred. With their visual poem, digital artist Andrés Reisinger and visual artist Sam Mason together enliven London’s bustling Oxford Circus, projecting their art along the gallery’s facade and commanding the attention of passersby with their hypnotic digital displays. Welcoming visitors inside, the exhibition continues on a journey into an underground installation presenting three multisensory spatial environments that ‘create a portal towards divinity.’

In each dreamlike composition, grand tables are set against a barren landscape with curious everyday objects that serve as metaphors for the endless evolution of life, power, wealth, and nature, alluding to ‘circumstances and moments that come, dictate, define, and simply go.’ Laying in disproportionate isolation, apples, and books — some of Andrés Reisinger’s signature symbols — signify the physicality of things translated into the virtual realm in an understatedly eccentric game of proportions and dimensions. These objects are set into motion by Sam Mason’s dream space and brought to life in a looping allegorical narrative. New elements, such as arcades of arched columns, also emerge from the sand as solid symbols of ancient architecture infused into a novel world.

‘The overall composition, enriched by a new audio work by musician RAC, is filled with sand, reminding us of the temporality of everything; the artwork, however, never speaks of there being an end or a beginning, rather illustrating the infinite cycle of life. The portrayed images speak of the structure of the world; a front facing environment, clearly showcasing the ground below, where souls exist, and the ground above, given life by light,’ explain the designers.
