‘selling lies’ is a visual project born in 2017, when the london-based artist naomi vona decided to participate in the instagram challenge of the 100 days project. in her projects, naomi fuses different techniques such as photography, collage, and illustration, altering vintage and contemporary images to generate a new interpretation of the original shots.

the final result emerges as a personal and controversial art project. this project continues as an art class called ‘from fashion ad to protest’, where the artist encourages her students to produce their art journal utilizing fashion magazines. during the event, naomi teaches her layered technique, providing advice and tips on manipulating existing images.
