what makes us feel good?

australia-based multidisciplinary visual artist domenic bahmann introduces ‘feeling good’, a series of mental health-related illustrations and art pieces. the designer creates still-life art inspired by daily observations and everyday situations. through this collection, he asks the question ‘what makes us feel good?’ and answers it with a visual metaphor.

using elements of everyday life

over the past few years, domenic bahmann has had the chance to work on a variety of editorial illustrations that visualize mental health topics. ‘feeling good’ gathers these works in a visually intriguing and thought-provoking series. the pieces feature bright colors, bold graphics, while borrowing elements of everyday life.

a piece named ‘friends’ reflects on the importance of social connections, depicting a series of miniature figures encapsulated in a blister pack as if they were medicine tablets. meanwhile, two of the pieces, ‘new version of yourself available’ and ‘did you enjoy your day?’, use the familiar iOS aesthetic to encourage self-reflection. you can find more of bahmann’s works on his official website, or on his instagram page.
