bulgarian artists/designers dragomir yordanov and borislav ginov have created ‘mo-box’, an interactive digital installation in spirit of DIY electronics. the piece is centered around a single 8.1” display that can be pushed and pulled along a horizontal rail by participants. each movement corresponds to a specific video frame, which is visualized in real time as the box moves.

speed and direction are selected by the participant, and thus requires both physical contact with the work and an up-close perspective. these traits are intended to increase the impact of ‘mo-box’ in its commentary on the analysis of time and the conventional representation of the linear timeline.
