swann – 3, 2005

photographer bill durgin creates disturbingly serene images of human figures folded and collapsing in on themselves until reduced to pathetic amorphous forms. his work unconventionally explores aspects of life study and the body’s relationship to space. located within empty but not blank rooms, the figures are provided a narrative elevating them from being purely sculptural forms.
