new mural by shepard fairey (obey) all images copyright butterfly
shepard fairey has plastered upon the wall of a fourteen story building his most recent street art installation. the exterior of the building is decorated with red, black and white paint, applied by fairey and a team on a moveable platform, to reveal a close-perspective portrait of a woman and obey style flower. the piece has been put in place with the assistance of galerie itinerrance, butterfly, and mairie of 13th for the community art project entitled ‘street art 13’. in this collaborative effort, these organizations hope to breathe new creative life into the zone in allowing artists building sides as canvases for their bright artworks.
