the competition entry of XTU architects for the roissy charles de gaulle T2 metro station in paris creates a unique experience for travelers. the project, which marks the entry to, or exit from, france reaches a depth of 50 meters and takes visitors on a cultural journey through time and space.

lead by traian bompa and joan tarragon of XTU architects, the proposal incorporates a translucent shell that encloses a unique, light-filled atrium. within the atrium unfolds a multi-media space which will display digital images of the treasures of french heritage,including leonardo da vinci’s mona lisa, claude monet’s nympheas, the versailles, etc.
