white exhibition booth in Yuyao imitates orchid’s elegance

‘White Orchid Pavilion’ by Hangzhou-based Urban Fabric Design office hosts an airy exhibition and display white booth for real estate and property developers. Located in Yuyao, China, the structure’s aesthetic draws from the rich presence of orchids in the city following principles of elegance and purity in the design. The unique display space was approached as an ‘enlarged exhibit booth’ forming abstract white blocks. The minimal construction shapes curved formations enhanced with white color reflecting an essence of simplicity.

airy structure balances off with mirroring dark body of water

The display booth curves its structure inwardly enclosing the site from the cluttered surroundings and the near highway. The smooth contours give the building a simple and balanced exterior, while the enfolded form captivates the visitors. The central courtyard sets up spatial tension in the outdoor zone completing the sensory experience. The dark-colored waterscape visually balances the white volumes and reflects both light and shadow enriching the facade. A light steel structure supports the cast-in-place roof that uses removable formwork. Providing a uniform and seamless look, white micro-cement was applied for the flooring establishing the pure aesthetics carried out throughout the whole project, (see more here).
