Casa Simão by studio arte is a white villa situated in messines

Algarve-based architecture company Studio Arte has completed the project of a family residence ‘Casa Simão’, located in the picturesque region of Messines in the Portuguese countryside. The structure puts up a pure white volume pierced by large angular glass windows offering tailored natural sunlight. The property is, also, distinguished by a series of terraces that apply wooden decks and ceramic tiling. The outdoor patios form a prominent pool and various lounge spots while shaping several geometric open voids that serve as atriums.

a modernist structure with pure white geometric forms

The pure white volume of Casa Simão shapes solid geometric forms that develop in multiple levels and open up glass windows and doors offering tailored natural sunlight and creating various indoor-outdoor spaces. The interior arrangement of the space constructs suspended glass walkways that offer easy circulation and visual connection between the floors. The residence is designed under bioclimatic principles such as solar energy utilization, thermal inertia temperature regulation, and passive housing building standards. The exterior zones are planned after a dry garden landscape concept. The minimalist structure by Studio Arte gems the countryside of the Algarve with its white geometric shapes framing the rich greenery of the region.
