WARchitect's 'V60 house' in bangkok connects to nature with in-between open spaces

located in a calm, serene area of bangkok, thailand, the ‘V60 house’ by WARchitect connects to nature through a series of in-between open spaces. the house is divided in three zones – the living area, bedroom, and guest area – while residents are required to walk through the exterior terraces in order to reach each zone. in this way, they are always met with a glimpse of nature as they walk past the green courtyard that connects all areas.WARchitect's 'V60 house' in bangkok connects to nature with in-between open spacesall images by rungkit charoenwat

WARchitect has designed the ‘V60 house’ for a husband and wife that are both airplane pilots who spend long periods of time in tight areas with little fresh air and body movement. responding to those issues, the architecture of the house enables the couple to take deep breaths of fresh air and enjoy wide, open spaces. located in a calm area of bangkok, with low levels of air pollution and far from the main road, the project benefits from plenty of available land.

the generous plot size allowed the thai architecture studio to design a house that is not too compact. instead, its functions are separated in three distinct zones, with green open spaces inserted in-between. in order to further enhance the connection to nature, the house features mainly floor-to-ceiling glass doors that ensure natural ventilation and offer residents plenty of fresh air.WARchitect's 'V60 house' in bangkok connects to nature with in-between open spaces

the three zones of the house are not divided by interior partition walls, but instead residents have to walk from the interior of one zone to the exterior first. in this way, WARchitect has made sure they get a glimpse of nature as they walk past the green courtyard that marks the heart of the project. furthermore, when residents are in these three zones, they can see each other all the time through multiple openings. for example, when one is brewing coffee in the living area, they have a view of the bedroom zone and the swimming pool.WARchitect's 'V60 house' in bangkok connects to nature with in-between open spaces
