michele de lucchi designs 'VÒCE aimo e nadia' restaurant in milan

the new restaurant ‘VÒCE aimo e nadia,’ designed by aMDL, under the guidance of architect michele de lucchi, opens at the gallerie d’italia in milan. the project represents the coming together of gallerie d’italia of intesa sanpaolo and aimo e nadia, to create an ambitious proposal with international scope. in piazza scala, the existing space has been divided into three functional environments: the coffee shop, bookshop, and the gourmet restaurant of chefs alessandro negrini and fabio pisani.

pisani and negrini, the heirs of ‘aimo e nadia’s’ unique style, together with business partner stefania moroni, bring their vision of italian cuisine into the museum, blending it with an artistic proposal. ‘VÒCE has been designed as a versatile and multifunctional space. our goal is to become a new reference point for the city of milan, in a context rich in history and culture,’ says negrini. the new layout by the architect is designed to enhance the spaces and make them become part of an inseparable whole with the museum. the coffee shop with adjoining bookshop, can be accessed either through the museum or from piazza scala.

after an important architectural renovation, in-line with the trends of the main italian and international museums, the result is a new place full of life in the heart of milan. the design reflects the owners values of excellence, italian tradition, attention to local products, and to the people that have always set ‘aimo e nadia’ apart. the menus, the coffee shop, and the restaurant, combine the national gastronomic heritage with a contemporary character in the unique style that typifies ‘aimo e nadia’: a strong bond with italian local productions and a close relationship with the many producers of excellent raw materials in the peninsula.
