‘house F’ is a renovation project by urbanwasabi that is surrounded by a highly populated residential area and open view of urban green. upon inspecting the building, the studio discovered existing structural issues. thus, they started the design process with the goal of simultaneously untangling the construction requirements and architectural programming.

to provide uninterrupted circulation, the center staircase was relocated and now allows a generous, looped pathway to access the second level via the original set of steps. here, the floor plate has been extended to create a western facing L-shaped corridor that links the sun terrace and bedrooms. from the outside to the inside, from the nostalgic metal façade to the contemporary interior, residents can experience various dimensions of space, multiple senses of this environment, and become a part of the lifestyle presented by the architecture.
