Array of Houses STANDS in direct contact with central courtyard

Situated in the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The Courtyard Houses, a recent project by Alwathaaeq Consulting Engineers, introduces a serene living concept. Comprising two townhouses and six apartments, each unit boasts exclusive private access, offering residents a unique sense of seclusion. Large openings provide plentiful natural light to the space and views of the central courtyard. The seamless connection to the courtyard is facilitated by light glass partitions with a discreetly hidden structure, fostering a sense of openness that defines the essence of a family home.

Courtyard Houses’ Movable partitions create an open layout

Movable light partitions merge various functions within the layout, allowing residents to enjoy the daylight and the views emanating from the central courtyard. The design thoughtfully places bedrooms on the first floor, ensuring an abundance of sunlight throughout the day. Visual connectivity to the courtyard is maintained, and an upper terrace serves as a private extension to the bedrooms.

A high sense of practicality and functionality is embedded in the design of the kids’ bedrooms, creating spaces that evoke a childlike sense of wonder and joy. The Courtyard Houses by Alwathaaeq Consulting Engineers aims to craft a space that seamlessly blends nature, light, and contemporary living.
