last week plans for the world’s tallest tower were unveiled in tokyo. ‘the tokyo sky tree’ will stand at 610 meters tall when it’s finished in december 2011 (construction is planned to start next month in sumida-ku). the building will host a digital broadcasting facility as well as restaurants and shops. the cost of the project is said to be around 60 billion yen.
