attractions and hospitality company pursuit has unveiled plans to expand its collection of icelandic travel experiences with the development of a premium oceanfront geothermal lagoon called sky lagoon. located in kársnes harbor, kópavogur, just minutes from reykjavik’s vibrant city center, this new dream location will showcase expansive ocean views punctuated by sunsets, northern lights and dark sky views.

the sky lagoon’s design takes cues from the cinematic landscapes of iceland, creating an oasis within the city. its unobstructed 70-meter (230 ft) infinity-edge will create a visual effect that will blend into the ocean waters cape. further design elements are influenced by icelandic culture, creating a distinctive guest experience modeled after icelandic turf houses and its restorative spa-like ritual rooted in the country’s tradition.
