Constructo shapes Skatepark beside Roseraie gardens in Cannes
Constructo Skatepark Architecture has completed a skatepark in Cannes, located along the French Riviera, adjacent to the Roseraie gardens. The project covers a total area of 1,252 sqm, fully dedicated to bowl skating. The primary feature is a single concrete bowl that includes a cradle, a 2.5-meter-deep end with pool coping, and a central spine.
The design follows an organic layout, referencing the form of a pebble, to support future integration into broader site developments. The bowl is constructed from red ochre-tinted concrete, a tone selected to reference the rock formations of the nearby Estérel massif. The surrounding paving uses lighter concrete, ground and polished to expose aggregates. Benches around the planted areas are made of mass-colored concrete in anthracite grey, chosen for its neutral tone and compatibility with the site’s vegetation and future landscaping.

Roseraie Skatepark merges with extensive vegetated development
Situated in the western section of the Roseraie park, the skatepark occupies part of a larger vegetated area bordered by coastal rock. The total footprint includes approximately 355 sqm of green space and public paths, integrating the bowl between existing planting zones. The bowl complements an existing street skate area nearby.
To maintain visual continuity with the landscape, the design team at Constructo Skatepark Architecture embeds the bowl in the ground. Structural overhangs are minimized, and above-grade elements are limited to ensure open views toward the Bay of Cannes and the Estérel hills. The only prominently visible element is the cradle, constructed from mirror-finished stainless steel. This reflective feature interacts with the surrounding environment and serves as a visual anchor within the skatepark.
