in hiroshima, japanese practice oishi masayuki & associates has designed a dental clinic set back from the passing road. located near onomichi railway station, the facility features large skylights cut into the primary façade that not only flood interior space with natural daylight, but also expose the building’s timber trusses. the uncovered structural form allows the project to become a part of the existing urban fabric, integrated within the region’s chaotic streetscape.
