the ‘Y house’, designed as part of the mandarin oriental residences in bodrum, turkey was given a harmonious interior makeover by ofist. the studio’s approach to the project was culturally driven, attempting to establish a dialogue between the disconnected architectural model, local customs, and geographical context.

living room 

 natural materials like wood, iron, and stone were applied throughout, always nodding to regional models. slate and textured plaster walls, as well as lath ornamentation on ceilings also follows the concept’s model. ofist was aided by enthusiastic clients, whose familiarity with fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques helped establish a contemporary style that matched their needs and desires perfectly.
