swedish clothing brand nudie jeans has launched its latest repair shop, located in new york city. situated in nolita, on the corner of bowery and spring, the store offers full collections of organic unisex denim and men’s tops and accessories, and also includes a free repair service. the 1,400 square foot space is the company’s 20th global location joining stores in london, los angeles, stockholm, oslo, berlin, tokyo, osaka, sydney, and gothenburg.

completed by nudie jeans’ in-house interior architecture team, the design has been conceived as a fitting nod to the store’s dynamic neighborhood, with an raw-utilitarian aesthetic. details include delicate antique lighting fixtures, brand literature hand painted on walls, and two raven puppet mannequins created by swedish artist maline nordin.

an onsite repair service is offered to customers

original red-brick walls, steel pillars, and wooden roof beams are worked into the functional layout, complemented with a muted concrete palette. meanwhile, natural vegetable-tanned saddle leather is reinvented from the usual realm of accessories into suspended clothing racks, and as a flat surface on the cash wrap unit. reclaimed fixtures and furnishings are punctuated throughout, echoing the brand’s philosophy of reuse.
