mur mur lab redesign this shanghai studio into an airy photography showroom

from the ‘simple geometric space performances’ to the ‘natural narrative space’, mur mur lab presents its latest showroom in a photography studio in shanghai. initially, the architecture firm treated the space similar to the taihu lake rockery. despite organizing the functional space, the architects use a semi-transparent material to form the shape of the lantern. 

in it, the center of the space is at a very low height which requires visitors to bend down o to pass through. arcs are elements which can be found throughout the space. through all the arcs in the hall, visitors can see all the layers of space opening like narrating a story. the monotonous white colors plastered throughout the showroom create an airy sensation.
