mode:lina design versatile office space for opera software in wroclaw, poland

mode:lina have constructed an adaptable office space for opera software, using an open plan layout that combines different work stations into one comfortable living environment. the agency is situated within two town houses in wroclaw – the largest city in western poland. the location of the office heavily influenced the overall concept for the refurbishment, combining cultural icons of the city within the context of the building.

wroclaw is referred to as ‘the city of one hundred bridges’, which set the theme for the construction of the space. mode:lina implemented arched curves at the entrance to each room, presenting a fluid walkway around the layout of the building. the kitchenette states an obvious reference to the famous market hall and central railway station, using an overhanging canopy that mirrors the architectural structure of both frameworks.

the interior decoration mixes antique furniture with contemporary pieces in a playful fashion. the floor details honeycomb patterns, which allows separate seating areas to come together. every room is styled in a different display in order to establish and differentiate the function of each particular setting. the overall feel however, expresses a unified visual language that provides an upbeat environment for colleagues working at opera software.
