located near vietnam’s ke ga cape, ‘thanh long bay gallery’ by MIA design studio frames horizontal, panoramic views of the ocean in front. the building serves as a reception hall for guests that have just arrived in the area, as well as a model house showcase. a series of landscaping boxes wrapped in greenery compose the project, each with its own lighting and landscape elements.MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnamall images by oki hiroyuki

MIA design studio has combined a total of six box-shaped volumes into ‘thanh long bay gallery’, connected via a long opened corridor. surrounded by lush vegetation, the corridor further enhances the guests’ experience of the surrounding landscape and climate, while extending the usage of the building. in response to the area’s tropical climate, the volumes are designed with deep and shallow awnings so that the building is well protected from weather changes and hurricanes. this choice also serves to better frame long, horizontal views of the sea ahead, ensuring a unique experience for guests.MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnam

the building’s main function as a reception hall and gallery required a wide open construction capable of accommodating many people when needed. the main design aim was to maximize open views for a seafront construction. MIA design studio prioritized the building’s connection to the surrounding landscape, so that guests can experience ‘the climate characteristics in the most intense way.’MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnam MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnam MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnam MIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnamMIA design studio's thanh long bay gallery frames panoramic views of the ocean in vietnam
