located in a quiet japanese neighborhood, osaka-based practice maniera architects and associates has completed ‘green house’, a dwelling that allows its occupants to forge a close relationship with natural environment. set within a residential area, the brief called for a design that both offered a suitable degree of privacy, and welcomed natural light inside the two-storey home.
floor-to-ceiling glazing is utilized throughout the design, offering inhabitants external views of a garden positioned at the rear of the house. at the ground floor level, an open-plan area includes kitchen and dining facilities, while a lofted bedroom is found upstairs.
