KITH and snarkitecture to open first european flagship store in paris

new york-based streetwear brand KITH and snarkitecture continue their long-time collaboration to present the brand’s first european flagship in paris. opening february 26th, 2021, the project marks the second international location following its tokyo opening at the end of 2020. KITH founder ronnie fieg works closely with the playful design studio, founded in part by daniel arsham, to introduce the brand’s sixth flagship — the largest to date at 16,000 square feet. offering a holistic lifestyle experience, the space includes KITH retail, KITH treats, and a KITH for sadelle’s restaurant. 

snarkitecture realizes its KITH paris flagship as a hybridization of its fresh and monochromatic design language, together with native elements of its french home. as with all KITH stores, the interior is marked by a sculptural array of plaster cast sneakers. in this case, a fixture of cast air max 1’s wraps the barrel-vaulted ceiling of the carrara marble-tiled entryway. the entryway opens to a grand double-height courtyard, with an accessories lounge and KITH treats, the brand’s cereal and ice cream bar, punctuating the opposite ends of the surrounding colonnade.

KITH paris and snarkitecture express the multi-colored carrara marble-tiled floors within the glass-covered courtyard. this space sits in front of a plant wall that stretches from floor to ceiling. the green wall was designed by renowned botanist patrick blanc and was reimagined for KITH by french landscape design firm jardins de babylone. the seating in the courtyard is for customers partaking in the culinary extensions of KITH paris, which includes a special partnership with major food group’s acclaimed new york-based restaurant sadelle’s. this marks the first international sadelle’s outpost, residing as a permanent restaurant within KITH paris where its one-of-a-kind brunch menu will be served.
