together with ryue nishizawa, kazuyo sejima leads the tokyo-based architecture firm SANAA. founded in 1995, the duo have gone on to achieve incredible success in the world of architecture and were even awarded the pritzker prize in 2010. characterized by clean lines and minimal designs, the jury cited their buildings as ‘deceptively simple’. ‘they explore like few others the phenomenal properties of continuous space, lightness, transparency, and materiality to create a subtle synthesis.’ – the pritzker architecture prize jury citataion. you can enjoy a selection of projects by kazuyo sejima and SANAA here below.
