julien lanoo captures views of faaborg harbour bath by JDS

opening earlier this year, ‘faaborg harbour bath’ in southern denmark provides the region with a new public space that encourages local residents and visitors to participate in a variety of water based activities. designed by JDS architects, the development is envisioned as an open sea bathing arena, with a branch-like form that contains changing rooms, a sauna and a 300 square meter plaza. between the scheme’s protruding piers open basins are formed, allowing safe and controlled areas for diving and swimming. the wooden jetties have been carefully manipulated to form ramps, stairs, zones of seating and smaller pools for younger children.
