FORT & PORT by IDMM emerges from Yeosu’s mountainscape

FORT & PORT by IDMM Architects stands amidst the elevated plateau of Baekcho-gil, Dolsan Island in South Korea. Situated at an impressive mountain altitude of 100m, the architectural development unfolds an accommodation site area of 9.936 sqm, emerging from the natural landscape. Gazing towards the northwest, Yeosu City gracefully embraces the contours of Jonggo-Mountain, Marae-Mountain, and the scenic Jasan Park, outlining a picturesque coastal panorama. To the southwest, the city skyline unfolds with Seguji Village and the South Sea creating a captivating contrast.

immersive architecture blends with the natural surroundings

Set against the backdrop of Yeosu’s hillscape as a prominent marine tourist destination in the South Sea, FORT & PORT draws from the element of water and sea, seamlessly woven with Odongdo Island, maritime islands, bridges, and the Dolsan strait. The design team at IDMM Architects crafts an immersive architectural development that harmonizes with the geographical richness that defines Yeosu’s charm.
