HAEAHN architecture’s C-project combines hotel and a cultural center

this competition entry by korean practice HAEAHN architecture combines a hotel with a cultural center in the form of a partial geometric ring. located on the outskirts of seoul, the designated plot is situated at the foot of a steep valley and is positioned opposite the picturesque, and much-visited, cheongpyeong lake. in order to minimize the development’s impact on the surrounding environment, the scheme is elevated above the ground in a large C-shape. beneath the concept’s primary structure, a series of architectural installations are created within the forested parkland.
