dedicated to serving the leisure and free time market with energy efficient designs, friday focuses on creating technologically advanced nautical devices and equipment. their latest product, the ‘floatwing’, is equally able to function as a romantic getaway for two, or a buoyant mobile house for a group of friends. measuring six meters in width, the modular nature of the house means that its length can be extended to contain up to three bedrooms.

traveling at a speed of three knots, the ‘floatwing’ is equipped with two small outboard motors, allowing its occupants to wake up in a new destination each morning. furthermore, the prefabrication methods mean that all components, including equipment and furniture, can be easily stored in two standard shipping containers and delivered to a wide variety of destinations.

when charged, the house is self-sufficient for at least seven days, providing enough energy for those onboard. the design includes a fully equipped kitchen, heat pump and AC generator, a wine cellar, as well as a barbecue on the upper terrace. the extensive list of amenities means that the house can be used as a base camp for a range of watersports, or simply as a weekend getaway.
