general architecture opens sauna to archipelago of stockholm

situated in the archipelago of stockholm in sweden is a small sauna designed by local firm general architecture. the uniformly built volume is clad in larch wood panels that are also used to form the openings. when the building is not functioning it can be completely closed up, giving the appearance of a regular house. opening out towards the surrounding landscape, the warm unweathered finish of the larch gives the sauna a soothing and organic character.
