Studio Apostoli designs Preistoriche Green Lodge in Italy

Terme Preistoriche Resort & Spa in Montegrotto Terme (PD) in Italy introduces the Preistoriche Green Lodge designed by Studio Apostoli, showcasing an eco-friendly approach to hospitality. Seven suites are integrated into four wooden stilted structures, interconnected through a raised system of ramps, walkways, and accessible terraces. The project preserves the roots of age-old trees using 160 micro piles to support new constructions and outdoor spaces. Architect Alberto Apostoli prioritizes tree preservation, ensuring the lodge placements embrace the existing trees. The lodges, clad in larch slats, employ a wood-based and eco-compatible system, featuring a heating system powered directly by thermal water for zero CO2 emissions. The lodges boast unique locations, sustainable construction, and a harmonious balance with nature, aligning with Studio Apostoli’s holistic philosophy.

Inside, guests experience distinct color palettes designed for relaxation, with extensive windows, terraces, and internal patios connecting them to the surrounding park. The suites range from 35 to 80 square meters, featuring industrial parquet flooring made from recycled waste tiles and wooden furnishings with eco-friendly upholstery. Wallpaper with botanical scenes uses ecological coverings from FSC-certified cellulose. The Green Lodges achieve Net Zero, with two being barrier-free for maximum accessibility. The Green Lodge Ceva and Green Villa Bertha offer enhanced wellness experiences with private amenities such as saunas, sensory showers, Turkish baths, and heated Jacuzzis with captivating views of the natural landscape. The entire project, coordinated by Studio Apostoli, was completed in six months, emphasizing attention to detail and sustainable material selection.
