the work of london-based architect farshid moussavi has been interpreted into a sensoral surround video projection within a room of the arsenale at venice’s 13th international architecture exhibition. the collection of work is based within a theory that the shared meanings which grounded architecture’s public reception is now gone. fragmented cultures have removed the common threads and should be replaced with an architecture of the senses, uniting all that encounter the spaces. the content is based within her books and teaching at harvard which focuses upon stripping works of architecture of their origins and ‘intended meanings’ and categorizing instead by the effects upon the observer.
