‘the spectrum’ by ETT studio is a temporary pavilion designed as part of the index fair, an annual trade event held in mumbai every year. experimenting with different colors, the project seeks to create a sense of space with minimal reliance on any other spatial devices. the 5 x 5 meter volume was developed with a pathway, woven around itself that leads one through the enclosure. the journey facilitates a rich variety of experiences within the tight cuboidal envelope. upon entering, visitors are greeted with a warm atmosphere that slowly changes mood as it travels across the color spectrum. the entire structure was built on a small budget of just under US $1000, using waste plywood and salvaged metal, and put together by a team of volunteers over three days and nights.
