off-grid tiny cabin in australia offers luxurious accommodation & sweeping seafront views

australia’s newest eco-friendly holiday accommodation

situated on a secluded stretch of coast 30 minutes away from port lincoln in south australia, ‘yambara’ is the first property launched by eco-accommodation startup EYRE.WAY. the design draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape to form a tiny luxury cabin with expansive glazing that allows occupants to fall completely off the grid. situated just 100 meters away from its own private beach, the structure opens generously towards views of the nearby sleaford bay, whalers way, and lincoln national park, in every direction.

eyre.way builds tiny yet luxurious holiday abode

EYRE.WAY’s yambara —meaning away, out of sight in barngarla, the local aboriginal language— offers sweeping seafront views, complete seclusion, and uncompromising luxury all within a completely off-grid tiny cabin. the 8 x 3 m tiny abode was designed in collaboration with local designer and builder duncan moore and is beautifully positioned with expansive glazing. what the mini house lacks in size, it makes up for in sleekness and functionality. the metal tray roof and external wall cladding provide sharp distinct lines within the low-lying coastal shrubs. neutral tones coupled with materials that provide a sense of warmth and sophistication create a modern and uncluttered holiday space designed for relaxation.

the creation of the compact but luxe abode was a natural progression for eyre.way directors tim and amanda hogg, who are no strangers to off-grid living and love exploring the eyre peninsula
