 we are currently looking for one candidate to work with us:

 

architecture writerwe are looking for someone with passion for contemporary architecture, with an architecture degree or background, who will be directly involved in the development of designboom’s articles and special features generated through wordpress. the position will include contacting and communicating directly with various international studios, firms and workshops. you should have good writing skills, an eye for detail, and experience in editing for accuracy and flow.we are searching for someone who has a good knowledge of architecture (and design), with experience in social networkingas well as advanced knowledge of (photoshop) image editing. *this position would be a minimum of 6 months long in duration. **ideally we are looking for a long-term free-lance collaboration.

your job would begin in mid may/june 2013. you will work in designboom’s office in milan, italy, where you will be an essential member of a small international team of smart people focused on solving design and communication challenges. you will report directly to designboom’s executives and will be co-responsible for developing the original content on designboom. working hours are monday to friday, 9am – 6pm (except in circumstances where we may have to work extra to meet deadlines).

 

at designboom, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of internet publishing. you will be actively involved in developing provocative features, current news updates, and analyzing architecture and design’s artistic, technical, social and economic dimensions. responsibilities could include photography, editing and uploading images and video footage, compiling clips, and much more. we use macs, so skills using the adobe suite, particularly photoshop, are a plus. ideally you are also proficient in using social networking sites professionally.
