SHOVK Introduces Modern and Ascetic Bursa Cabins

Ukrainian studio SHOVK conceives the Bursa Cabins concept, a temporary accommodation project standing in a picturesque natural spot in a small town near Kyiv. The design focuses on the frame of modern and sometimes ascetic architecture. The eco-hotel offers a place of rest from the urban landscape aiming to concentrate the attention of visitors on the peaceful contact with nature. The buildings are situated on different terrain levels and at the proper distance from each other so that nothing blocks the view. Each cabin offers a panoramic view of the Dnipro River.

Small Cabins Embrace Nature and Sustainable design

Each small cabin is divided into two volumes, ensuring a balanced external profile while maximizing interior space. This design choice enables panoramic windows in both the living room and bedroom, connecting the interior with the natural surroundings. The subdued dark interior integrates seamlessly with the expansive space, providing a serene environment for visitors to commune with nature.

The cabins are strategically adapted for prolonged exposure to natural light, emphasizing energy efficiency and fostering a comfortable environment aligned with human circadian cycles. The incorporation of a closed-insulating shell and a compact design contributes to achieving zero energy consumption, underlining a commitment to sustainable living practices. SHOVK pays attention to materials, with a preference for processed materials and FSC-certified timber, reflecting a dedication to responsible construction practices.
