the ‘train house’ is a basic structure designed by slovenian architect damjan bradač. its function, to host single cars for on-track storage or maintenance, is characterized by a semi-transparent façade made of context-related materials like galvanized steel. to bring a similar dynamism to the form, repetitious diagonal details are accentuated. designed as an extension of both railcar-and-way, the ‘train house’ elegantly meets its modest requirements.
