after being approached by accor suite novotel for an interior design concept, constance guisset started thinking about the hotel as a home. this simple idea provided the foundation for the project, bringing everyday comfort to a public place. the result, which has been physically realized in the hague and paris, offers a series of open spaces for sharing and collaboration. a sense of intimacy is provided by inviting the host to be enveloped by seats, lighting, and objects. meanwhile, guisset also sought to play with formal language, cutting corners, softening lines, and adopting colors to accent specific details within the stark white room. the atmosphere is warm and peaceful, imagining an aesthetic that the company and the designer believe to be deployable worldwide.
