Situated within a residential area in Kunming, China, the design seamlessly intertwines with the locale’s character.
Preserving the site’s original framework, the spatial layout unfolds organically around a central core, delineating functional zones in a sequential fashion. This architectural narrative, while honoring the site’s legacy, imbues the space with a sense of ‘unfinished’ modernism, accentuating the fluidity of time and space.

distinct materials converge to create bold ambiance
Throughout the design, the concept of ‘unfinished’ permeates various mediums, capturing the essence of temporariness and anticipation. Structural elements like rotating cylindrical forms evoke a sense of continuity, seamlessly melding functionality with aesthetics. Color palettes rich in metal, concrete, wood, and marble converge to create an ambiance that is simultaneously bold and liberated. Stainless steel accents infuse a futuristic aesthetic, elevating the space into a realm of timeless artistry.
