cheungvogl unveils concept case for ‘aesop at selfridges, london’ all images courtesy of cheungvogl
since 2011, international architecture firm cheungvogl has developed a series of eleven customized concept cases for aesop beauty care products for flagship stores and department counters throughout asia and europe. each display manifests the brand’s values of high quality ingredients, healthy living, and strong customer relations, while being individually informed by each store’s specific site. the most recent installation at selfridges in london, is constructed of materials that recall england’s long industrial history. english oak, milled steel and copper piping compose both a display and sales area, and 4.5m lavatory for product testing and consultation. based on the dimensions and proportions of the product packaging, the simple, sleek work bench optimizes brand visibility and flexibility and accommodates the need for exhibition and ever-changing in-store programming. the industrial sink enables and encourages customer interaction with the object and consultants while strongly asserting brand identity.
the slender sink allows ample space for customer-product interaction and consultation

ornamentation is minimized, allowing optimal brand visibility
