holiday chalet, les diablerets, switzerland completed in 2008
located in the swiss alps is a newly renovated holiday chalet designed by swiss firm charles pictet architects. constructed from wood the house provides 360 views of the surrounding landscape. the central square consists of a large concrete tower which connects all rooms and is also a fireplace, making it the heart of the house. previously only occupied in summer time, the house has been converted to a retreat for both winter and summer seasons.
