CCD finishes bottega veneta luxury apartment with sculptural curved staircase in beijing

ccd creates an understatedly elegant living space

Within a soaring skyscraper in Sanlitun, the busiest commercial hub of Beijing, China, CCD conceives a series of luxury serviced apartments themed on century-old international brands of the highest level (see their FENDI apartment here). The Hong Kong-based practice has now unveiled ‘One Sanlitun Bottega Veneta’, a deluxe apartment that takes its cues from the iconic Italian luxury fashion house. Here, CCD incorporates Bottega Veneta’s understated aesthetics into the spatial design, to create a top-class yet unpretentious home.

As a brand, Bottega Veneta is renowned for its elegant and subtle design aesthetics. With an esteemed reputation for artful design and woven leather craftsmanship, the brand is timeless, yet stays consistently up-to-date on the latest in high fashion and luxury. Mirroring this, every object brought into the apartment space by CCD inherits Bottega Veneta’s pursuit of refined craftsmanship, and the overall spatial style and design details continue the brand’s precision and understated aesthetic. The design of the apartment seamlessly incorporates Bottega Veneta’s classical Intrecciato weave into the furniture and ornaments, and demonstrates an elaborate layout and material selection.CCD’s luxury apartment in beijing is inspired by the aesthetics of bottega veneta

The entrance foyer is a vast double-height space, adding depth and dimension to the area and conveying the pursuit of quality life. CCD incorporates a grand, spiralling marble staircase that not only connects the upper and lower levels, but also acts as an art installation, with its graceful curves adding dynamic rhythms to the space. Beside the sculptural staircase, weaving wall veneers take cues from Bottega Veneta’s iconic Intrecciato pattern, highlighting a distinct character while also exploring an integration into modern life to a create an upscale living atmosphere.

The designers express Bottega Veneta’s multi-dimensional imagination and artistic aesthetics clearly in the large open plan living room and dining room. Here, French windows provide a panoramic 270° view to the outdoors, blurring the boundary between interior and outside. The living room is dominated by an ambient mixture of neutral tones and textures. The artworks, upscale furnishings, and refined Italian-style craft, all embody the unique modern luxury taste of the fashion brand. The wine cabinet, fireplace, soft carpet, leather, and Bottega Veneta’s classic intertwined elements endow the space with fine detailing. In the dining room, a round, dark marble table overlooks the city, and black woven leather chairs, in a pure expression of the brand’s identity, produce a modern artistic touch and elegant visual effect.

Unifying the visual effects, bespoke interior lighting fixtures are designed with lampshades that refer to Bottega Veneta’s iconic interwoven pattern. Neutral tones and tactile fabrics add to the cozy atmosphere of the space, emphasized by sunlight filtered into the rooms through the expansive windows. Bedrooms are respectively interpreted by geometric forms, earth tones, and woven leathers.
