bridal store by L’AURA ORTÍN features flexible fitting rooms

L’AURA ORTÍN Arquitectura unveils Maison Portocale, a clothing store in Murcia, Spain, that redefines the common bridal shopping experience. The design features a series of flexible fitting rooms with terracotta curtains and corrugated mesh walls, contrasting the delicate textures of brocades, muslins, and silks. Allowing for impromptu fashion shows, the space can transform from private fitting areas to an open catwalk. Mirrors are strategically placed to create an infinity effect, enhancing the space’s depth.

maison portocale combines terracotta curtains with blue mesh

The interior of the Maison Portocale store by L’AURA ORTÍN Arquitectura moves away from the pastel tones associated with bridal shops, opting instead for blue and terracotta. This palette and the combination of materials establish an environment that contrasts with the usual naive and innocent aesthetic. The Spain-based studio highlights fluidity and flexibility as key aspects of the layout, allowing the space to adapt to different needs. The use of terracotta, paired with white and beige accents highlights the bridal gowns and creates a warm atmosphere.
