set within trollheimen, a scenic mountain region in norway, ‘viewpoint granasjøen’ by bergersen arkitekter AS is a modern version of the old norwegian gapahuk – meaning simple wooden structure with two our three walls and a roof. encompassing various functions like shelter, summer house, grill shed, bath house, or just an observatory, the structure takes into consideration the owner’s needs and was designed in close collaboration with him.

featuring a green roof, ‘viewpoint granasjøen’ by bergersen arkitekter AS is clad in dark brown stained wood, matching the main cabin of the property. its simple design, the materials used, and an angled roof mimicking the mountains result in a property that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to the landscape, incorporating it even more to nature. inside, a specially designed and built-in bench makes sure there’s good seating.
