‘expo bonna’ is an open floor plan museum by basiches arquitetos associados. located on a corner lot, the idea of using an inclined plane was created to contrast the building’s appearance with its surrounding context. as a result, the form of the roof announces itself on the interior and exterior. above the works of art, it determines the spatial qualities of the room as it slopes upwards and away from the private programs of the design. simultaneously, passersby on the perimeter of the complex notice that it provides an overhang that diffuses light outwards at night while providing heat gains and natural lighting during the day.  the slope is coated with concrete-colored paint and the window frames that predominate the three façades are divided by evenly dispersed black aluminum mullions. the expo holds temporary exhibitions, creating a flexible layout with the support structure and administrative functions in the back.
